Sprintec For Irregular Periods

My dr prescribed me Tri Sprintec to regulate my periods... I have PCOS. I used to take Ortho Evra but havent for a couple of months. Because i haven't been on out my period is irregular again. Two months ago i had it a week apart, then didn't get it for a month and a half. I'm trying to figure out when to take fhe pill, as I'm not sure if I'll get my period at all in the next month... Can i start this Sunday? What will happen if I do this? Also, are all the ingredients in week 1,2, &3 the same? Because i want to make sure i do this perfectly.

No, this one has different amounts of hormones in each week, so they do need to be taken in order.

However, you can start at any time, you just need to know that you will not be immediately protected against pregnancy. You'll need to use a backup method of protection, such as condoms. It takes a week for them to become effective and prevent ovulation, if you start when you aren't having your period.
