Sprintec / Constant Bleeding
UpdatedI just started sprintec this week, I had an IUD fall out in January and was put on quartette but bled everyday a good amount, needing several liners to several super tampons. So I called my OB because I couldn't take the daily bleeding after seven months. OB put me on Sprintec and I have completed one week of pills any advice on when I can expect the bleeding to stop????

Hello, Danni! How are you?
Irregular bleeding can occur for the first 3 months, or so, while your body gets used to a new oral contraceptive, but if it goes beyond a couple months, you should inform your doctor as you may need to switch, again.
Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms.
When I was younger and taking them, I found that the bleeding usually lasted until my next cycle, so it did last a few weeks.
Is there anything else I can help with?
