So Happy To Walk A Straight Line

i am now on my 2nd week of taking Amprya and everyone is noticing my walking better.the left drop foot though is a drag (no pun intended lol) but has gotten alittle better my over all walking has improved.my side effects of pain in throat and neck was 2 days,my abdominal pain was 2 days,the itching and tingling was 2 days and all so far passsed.the numbness i normaly have in both my hands that was an MS episode that i never recovered from,was alittle more enhanst,but i would rather deal with all that if my walking approved not that im sprinting over hurls,but feeling really good so far!! good luck to everyone who is taking it.

That's great, I am so glad that it's working so well for you.

So often what gets posted on sites like this are just the complaints about a certain medication. It's rare that anyone thinks to post about a positive experience.

ok well on ampyra for bout a month now and are noticing that i hav good walking days and the same walking days dropp foot is alittle better but whn the weather is warm muscles dont work the same for me it sucks.but it is what it is i guess. have an apointment with my ms neurologist in august to give him the 3 month notice on how im doin so ill keep taken till then :)

When I first started taking Ampyra, I had difficutly falling asleep. So my doctor had me just take 1-a day. I am sleeping better. Now I want to increase the dose for
1 every 12 hours. Does the insomnia go away after some time. I feel it is helping me walk without dragging my foot. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Hi I'm on it just over 2 weeks and think it's making a difference. It's not consistent but I'm walking better and feel stronger. A couple of moments I've actually felt almost normal. About the same time my functional med Dr told me to take 3 magnesium chelate and omega 3 fish oil from Nordic Naturals and I am sleeping fine. And I have a history of poor sleep. I've thought about what might happen if I stop but for now I'm sticking with it.
