Small White Round Pill No Markings

i have a small (7/16 diameter) round white pill that has no markings or colorings in it at all. any idea what it could be??

It could be a melatonin, which is an over the counter sleeping aid.
In situations like this, where there are no markings on the tablet, it is rather difficult to determine what they contain.
They can be ruled out as being a U.S. prescription medication, because they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification.
They are most likely an over the counter product and in that case, there are many possibilities.
But there is also a chance that it could be a foreign medication.
Does anyone have any ideas on this one?
