Hi Christine,
Due to the type of pill you have I think it's safe to say that without an imprint determining what this is may only be a shot in the dark, unless you were to have its contents analyzed by a lab for verification.
But depending on how you came about it, my intuition tells me that you could potentially have a counterfeit or foreign medication on your hands, since all US pharmaceuticals are required by law to carry a unique set of markings/numbers that represent the substance, dosage, and/or manufacturer.
Do you have any specific details about its origin?
