Skipping Telsartan Dosage

i am in us for a short stay. I take telsartan 80mg twice a day for hypertension and i am 55 years old.By mistake i misplaced my medicines and in short of this tablet for a week before i go to india. kindly suggest me some equivalent one available in us or shall i reduce the dosage to cover up one week.

The active ingredient is Telmisartan and it is available here, but requires a doctor's prescription. But what you'd want to look for is a medication that contains this same active ingredient.

And no, it is not safe to miss tablets or reduce your dosage on your own, because it may cause dangerous rebound effects, which could result in severely elevated blood pressure or heart rate.
