Hello, Connie! How are you?

They both treat the same conditions, since they are muscle relaxants, but no they do not contain the same active ingredients.

Skelaxin contains the active ingredient Metaxalone, while Flexeril contains the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine. Side effects are also very similar and may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.
