Sintrom Risks Stopping For Two Days Before Injection

I have to have cortisone injection in lumbar spine and my doctor instructs me to stop taking Sintrom for two days beforehand.What are thr risks in doing so? I am 95 years old.

My sintrom 4mg is finished and I am in Germany. Can I substitute it with Acetylsalicy tablets?

There is a slight risk of developing blood clots, from stopping it, but the risk isn't very high, if you're only stopping for 2 days. It would be best to follow your doctor's instructions for your own safety.

Sintrom is classifies by the FDA as an anticoagulant and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.

Eddy, have you consulted a doctor there? They should be able to prescribe something equivalent for you.
