Can I take trepiline whilst pregnant. I am in my first trimester.

The FDA lists this medication as being in pregnancy category C, which means they've not been able to rule out possible risks. It's also been known to cause withdrawal symptoms in babies, that may include cardiac problems, irritability, respiratory distress and seizures.

Thus, it would be best to speak to your doctor about a medication that you can safely take, while pregnant.
