Side Effects Of Telmisartan 40 Mg And Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5

I am a 60 year old male with high BP. I was taking Losar 50 mg ×2 and metoprolol XL 25mg × 2 but as my BP shot up to 160/90 with heaviness in my head and neck, the doctor changed the medicines and introduced Temsan-H in the morning and metoprolol XL 25mg in the evening since the last 3 days. I am feeling better but since introduction of this medicine at times I feel slight pressure on the upper part of the chest. Is this side effects of Temsan-H and reducing the dose of metoprolol? How long will the side effects last?

Yes, those can be side effects of this medication, as listed by the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dehydration and hypotension.
