Doctor has prescribed this to me in order to increase my platelet count, which reduced to 40000. My doctor advised me to have omnacortil 20 once a day. My question is, what is the side effect of consuming this steroid drug? After consuming this drug I feel a tendency of vomiting and also feel less energy. Is it wise to continue this medicine?

My dad age is 65 years he has low platelet count 63000. Which omnacorti is suitable for him like 10mg,20mg or 40mg will u also suggest dosage time please
