I am on Espiride 50mg one tablet on a morning I have had 3 attacks of not being able to breath is this the tablet??

According to the NIH espiride contains the active ingredient Sulpiride. This medication is most frequently used to treat schizophrenia and major depressive disorders. It should be noted that this drug is not sold in the United States.

Here is a list of the reported side effects.

- Restlessness
- Rhythmical involuntary movement of the tongue, face, mouth and jaw, which may sometimes be accompanied by involuntary movements of the arms and legs
- Insomnia
- Drowsiness
- Dizziness
- Weight gain
- High blood prolactin
- Stopping of menstrual periods
- Intimacy problems
- Convulsions
- Liver problems such as jaundice or hepatitis
- Irregular heartbeats

It is not listed anywhere on NIH website that this medication will lower your iron levels. I would suggest you contact your primary care physician and have him run some tests to determine if you have low iron levels and if so, what the root cause is.
