Side Effects Of Doxycycline

I was prescribed doxycycline for uti/possible pelvic infection. I saw 2 doctors and they told me two different things. I have been on the medicine for 3 days and am experiencing severe headaches, extreme pressure in my stomach and bloating. Is this normal? Should I stop taking it?

No, it shouldn't cause such extreme headaches and stomach pressure, but it's hard to say if that may be from the medication, or the infection itself. It would be best to have it checked out to be certain.

Normal side effects to this antibiotic may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
