Side Effects Of Bupropion

My husband was put on bupropion hydrochloride 100mg in september 2016. Within 3 weeks that dosage was upped to 150 mg, twice a day (300mg total). Then the first week of december 2016 the dosage was upped to 450 mg (highest dose ever given). He was to take 350 mg in the am and 150mg at 1:00 pm. Within one week on 450 mgs, his fingers in right hand are all numb! All fingers but thumb. He is right handed and cannot pick up anything. Very difficult to hold a fork - to shave - or to do anything! I am currently backing him off of bupropion and praying to god we can get back the feeling in his right hand! Unless your body is seriously pharmaceutical chemical deficient, I would most definitely try to get well without the use of chemicals. They, prescribed chemicals, have wrecked his life as well as my own!

That is very odd, but the FDA does warn that if someone is taking the regular release formulation, single doses should not exceed 150mgs each, each dose should be spaced at various intervals throughout the day of no higher than that. They state at least 6 hours apart.

How are you handling the taper? It is best to be very careful to avoid potentially dangerous withdrawal symptoms, such as seizures.
