Side Effects Long Term
UpdatedI have been on rivaroxaban for a year now. Was told that I have to take it for life due to extent of dvt in my left leg. I have had no side effects at all.
Until the last few weeks where I have had a lot of nausea and headaches. I feel like it is unrelated to the meds . My wife thinks it is. I am now wondering if it is the meds causing g it. I just find it weird for side affects to take a year to manifest.

Hello, Scott! How are you?
Those can be side effects of this medication, along with dizziness, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.
Our bodies do change with time, so it's always possible to suddenly start experiencing side effects, though it's not that common. However, it would be best to check with your doctor to be sure.
Is there anything else I can help with?
