According to the manufacturer's guidelines, the proposed age limit for Keppra (levetiracetam) is listed at 16; and for zzzquil the product warning label suggests that it should not be used in children under 12 years of age.

I don't know if you are aware of this or not, but there was a recent documentary on high CBD strains of cannabis being used to prevent seizures in young children. I don't know which state you reside in, but the mayor of New Jersey actually legalized edibles for kids who have this condition after watching the documentary that aired on CBS. I'm not a doctor, but perhaps this natural alternative could be a more viable option with less side effects and warnings than Keppra (with regards to age restrictions as well).

NOTE: research shows that CBD strains (which have little to no THC) do NOT make you feel high, so you can be rest assured that your child will not be catching a buzz. However, since it can also be used as a sleep aid, you may not have to rely on zzzquil either. My opinion being - why take two medications when you only need to take one...

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the matter, since I've seen it help so many other young children who would otherwise have seizures everyday.
