Side Effect Of Asthalin 2 Mg

I've been suffering from chronic bronchitis for the last 2 years and my father is a professor in a medical college. He had started me on asthalin for the last 1 and half years. I feel my body shivering so i have stopped asthalin. Is there any risk of side effects in the future? Had my father done right or wrong by giving me asthalin? Please give me an answer as soon as possible.

I had suffered from severe dry cough. My doctor prescribed asthalin 2mg tablets to be taken twice a day. After consuming just 3 tablets I got severe pain in my spinal cord and lower back and muscular cramps on both sides of my limbs. The pain was so severe that I can couldn't lift my legs or walk. I was confined to the wheelchair. Thereafter I was again taken to an orthopedic surgeon who examined my case and prescribed inj's. And medicine as well. I still have the pain in the limbs and the muscular cramps have spread to my chest. I don't know what the remedy for this sickness is.
