Side Effect Of 500 Mg. Levofloxacin

I took a 500 mg pill around noon (levofioxacin). At 5:30p.m. I got EXTREMELY COLD. was shaking from the feet to the tips of my fingers. Had a hard time catching my breath due to the shaking. I went to bed & turned on my electric blanket as high as it would go. I shook for 30 minutes from head to toe. Once the blanket started to warm me the shaking slowly got better My feet were burning & tingling. I braced my self so hard because of the shaking my hips & shoulders are very sore. It's now 4 hour's since this started & I feel shakey & nervous. Going to call my doctor tomorrow & tell her I'm not taking anymore of this medication. I've had UTI's for several month's & they just never seem to clear up.

I'm actually more prone to think that those symptoms were from the infection, rather than the medication, or even perhaps it starting to work on the infection.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea and non-allergic skin rash.

What other antibiotics have you tried?
