What happened with Picovir. I heard FDA failed to approve it in 2002. Has anything changed since then?

No, it doesn't appear that there has been any change.

It was initially rejected by the FDA because it was found to provide only modest benefits to those who used it and the potential for dangerous problems that it could cause far outweighed the slight help it gave.
