Should I Start Lo Loestrin Fe The First Day Of My Cycle

My doctor til me to start taking the pills right when my period comes but I missed it twice! So I'm on my third day of my cycle so I started to take it is that okay? What should I do if not?

If you start them on the first or second day of your period, then you are immediately protected against pregnancy. If you start them later than that, you'll need to take them for a full 7 days, before they will be effective, so you'd need to use a backup method of contraceptive for that week.
