Should Advil And Flector Patch Be Taken Together
Updated5 Replies
i am taking suboxone right now about 24 mgs a day.cani put flector pathes on with this medicine.is it safe to use suboxone and flector patches together,
For anyone else seeking information….
The Advil and the Flector patch should not be mixed. They are both nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so it is unnecessary and is just doubling up on the same type of medication.
There are risks associated with this medications, such as stomach ulceration and increased risk of bleeding, so it is dangerous to do so.
You can learn more Advil details here and you can learn more Flector details here. and you can learn more Suboxone details here.
As to the Suboxone and Flector, they can be used together, as long as your doctor has said it's safe for you to do so.
Are there any comments or questions?
Is there anything I can help with?
I would like to ask you, if you don't mind telling us? Where did you get this information from, are you in the medical field, or just by research?
I have a question & though I don't take suboxone but do have to take vicodin for a bad knee injury that is now (3days after) beginning to bruise badly & intense pain coming up the inside of my inner left leg, damn vicodin will not touch this pain. I have used this Flector patch (samples from my Orthopedic Dr. ) & WOW, truly amazing & very $$$$. I'm sorry to ramble on here, so my question is if I took Advil earlier today in the morning & it's now lunch time, can I put on the flector patch now at this point? I ran out of the two sample packs I had (5 in each) & got the script filled, insurance won't cover them, their sold like real drugs, CASH ONLY! Also, MUST they be changed every 12 hrs., or is that to sell more, honest answer I fear the answer.
I would appreciate your insight on this & hope you can reply. Thank you kindly for your time, One!
I'm noticing, as we age I'm noticing the Ol body don't work like it use to"!
Just to be clear the previous post was generally correct however, in your case the Advil was taken several hours before so no harm should come to you. What is slightly more concerning is the fact that you are already taking two NSAIDs, Vicoden which contains Acetaminophen and Advil. Advil (Ibuprofen) lasts 4-6 hours depending on your metabolism. Nonetheless if you stop taken the Advil and switch to the Flector Patch outside of 4 hours you will be perfectly fine. There is an increased chance of Heart Problems but if you are a healthy Adult doing this every so often will not hurt you. Just don't make it a habit.
