Should I Take Prolia

I have taken Prolia in 2013, I received 2 shots, felt ache, tired, hips hurt, stopped it in 2015 because I had osteopenia, just went for a Bone Density and now I have very bad osteoporosis, I am still on the fence if I should take the Prolia shot again...How do I make my decision....I don't want to break any bones but so scared of all the side effects...

This medication can cause some serious side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, administraton site irritation, worsening of asthma symptoms, as well as severe joint/muscle aches, according to FDA reports.

Did your doctor offer you any other options?

Are you on any other medications? Prolia is not the only medication, there are others you can try.

Do you take any calcium and vitamin D supplements?

You have a valid reason for not taking prolia. I took a one & only injection 8/11/15 & am still feeling the side effects of that HORRID DRUG. I still have bone pain in my hips & thighs - still have the muscle spasms - still have dermatitis - still have the hair loss - & on & on. I could write a book on prolia's side effects. The doc that did this to me should be required to have the shot before giving it to innocent patients & ruin their lives. MY ADVICE TO ANY & EVERYONE, NOT TO GO THERE & punish yourself w/pain.
