Short Methadone Withdrawal

I've been going to a methadone clinic for 3 weeks now. They had me on a 95mg dose. I was taking opiates before. I didnt want to go to the clinic today b.c i want off this junk.. will my withdrawals be bad? Some people have told me it wont be bad since ive only been going for a short period. Is that true!?

95mgs is still a fairly high dose and regardless of how long someone has been taking it, Methadone is notorious for causing bad withdrawals, thus I advise being very cautious.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.

It may be best to speak to your treatment provider, they should be able to help you taper off.
