Shelf Life Of Apo Tramadol Acet 37.5/325

I have the above which was prescribed for pain for surgery I had in 2011. Is this drug still safe and effective?

If it is in a bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, then it would have expired one year from the date it was dispensed to you. After that, it begins to lose potency and will not work as well.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

This medication was used and there is still half the medication left will the pharmacy
take them back and replace them if I pay for it
