why has Sandoz currently experiencing a "production" problem with their levothyroxine. Afer Levoxyl was taken away (I had taken this for twenty years and could not take Synthroid) the Sandoz worked perfectly. What is going on?

Hi, Kat! Sorry about the problem that you're having getting your medication.
However, no actual reason for the shortages have been provided. The companies aren't actually required to state that information.

I sincerely wish I had more information for you, but I am not finding any details. There are a few articles that state it was due to some type of packaging problem, but I really don't think that explains shortages continuing for this long and affecting more than one manufacturer.
Have you talked to your doctor to explore other alternatives?
