I used Canex V during my fertile period for thrush infection due to antibiotics. Is it possible to still be able to get pregnant while you are using it.

From what I could gather, Canex V contains the active ingredient Clotrimazole, which is an anti-fungal medication. So yes, it is normally used to treat things such as yeast/thrush infections.

Regarding it's use during pregnancy, Clotrimazole topical has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA. In which case animals who were given high doses intravaginally have not revealed evidence of teratogenicity. However, high "oral" doses resulted in embryotoxicity and maternal toxicity. In clinical trials involving women in their second and third trimester, Clotrimazole treatment of vaginal candidiasis was not associated with any fetal harm.

With that said, you shouldn't experience any problems getting pregnant while using this medication. If you have any additional questions regarding it's use, I would strongly encourage you to discuss this in-person with your doctor or gynecologist in order to get more personalized advice on the matter.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Clotrimazole Details

I hope this helps!
