Hello, Marie! How are you?

It can vary from person to person and could take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

What dosage are you on? A lot of it is dependent on that. Sometimes, it has to be adjusted to the dosage the best helps the individual being treated.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
