does anyone know of a doctor in southern ca (ie,oc,la) that will prescribe methadone? or somewhere to get a dr. online?

In order to have Methadone prescribe for any reason, you'll need to actually be physically seen by a doctor for an exam and regular monitoring, while you're on it, so it cannot be prescribed and ordered online.

As to getting a doctor to prescribe it, that depends on what you're taking it to treat. If you're taking it for pain, then you'd need to see a pain management specialist.

However, if it's for addiction treatment, then you can only be treated for that in a clinical setting by those specially trained in its use for such and it would be illegal for a regular doctor to prescribe it for that.

The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
