Round Red Percocet

Hello. I had a friend give me a couple of Round Bright Red pills that only have a 4 score on one side and no numbers, letters or other identifying marks on it anywhere. I have been 100% disabled for 18 years and have chronic pain all over and multiple surgeries. I was told these pills are percocet 10mg but have been afraid to try them with one of my headaches though my friend has taken them for pain. I have been on Norco 10mg for a few years and as you know your body builds a tolerance to any meds you take. My headaches have crippled me for up to 10 days in a row numerous times and usually last from 2 days on. Does anyone know anything about these round red percocet? Thankyou

Hello, Dusty! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain.

If there are no markings on them, then they are not a legal U.S. Percocet. All U.S. prescription tablets are required, by law, to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency.

If it has no markings, it is most likely an over the counter medication, of some type, however, there is a small chance it could be a foreign medication.

The FDA classifies Percocet as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
