we are trying to identify this pill, which filled a prescription for metoprolol tetrate 50mg. Haven't found the pill on any of the identification sites.

The pill is round and pink like pepto bismal color and has a split in the middle , RE on top and 75 under it , hope this helps .

The tablet with the RE 75 marking does contain 50mgs of Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat hypertension and certain cardiac conditions.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain.

My doctor upped me from 12.5 mg twice a day of metoprolol to 50 mg once before i go to bed. I took the 12.5 one before my appointment. Is it going to hurt me to take the 50 tonight?
