I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the laws for CDL drivers, so the only thing I can say for that is to do some searching, and see what you can learn. Some medications aren't allowed if they may affect the person's ability to drive a big rig safely, and responsibly.

Regarding a teacher, they can usually take whatever they are legally prescribed, as long as they aren't transporting kids anywhere, because a little forgetfulness, or tiredness in the classroom isn't anywhere near as dangerous as operating heavy machinery.

Risperdal is a very potent medication that is commonly used to treat various mental health disorders, and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood changes, sedation, somnolence, and weight changes.

That said, yes, it has been known to cause memory issues in some people that take it.
