possibly for infections. can you tell me what type of infections?

Did you mean Rifampin?

If so, it is most commonly used to treat Tuberculosis. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, joint/muscle aches, and diarrhea.
