I cannot find a lot of information on this, except that some formulations contain Codeine as an active ingredient.

Most narcotics do cross the placenta and can affect the baby, which is why some are born addicted when the mother is using or abusing such medications.

Thus, it is not advisable to use them while pregnant, unless your doctor has instructed you to do so.

Have you spoken to them about it?

BRothers who are addicted are advised to remember a thing always that try to decrease doses but dont think u will quit it.By doing so u will increase dose much.when u think u are are doing very bad thing and u must quit it first then this thought will produce bad effect on u much more than side effect of syrp itself..Dont decide u will do ur imp works only after u will give it up.just do normal everyday works and lower ur dose.DOnt estimate what ppl think about u.YOU can do everthing.It can be decreased if u will take sankalp
