Ultram is not related to hydromorphone. Hydromorphone is Dilaudid, a class 2 controlled substance. A narcotic and addictive pain killer. Ultram is not even a scheduled controlled substance, is not considered a narcotic; HOWEVER, it has been proven to be addictive. Many people have gotten addicted to the tramadol in it. It has 50mg of tramadol in it. Side effects include insomnia, loss of appetite, euphoria, constipation, among others.
