Regestrone 5mgfor20 Days

after delivering my baby on 11th oct my post partum bleeding continued for a month after 2 days i got my periods with heavy bleeding ...my gynac suggested me regestrone for 20days...im also breastfeeding my baby does dis affects him...pls tell me.
