Reduced Dose Subutex Withdrawals Within Hours

I have been on subutex for 2 years or more, recently my boyfriend decided we both should try lowering our dosage. After 3-7 days of lowering my dose, I am starting into withdrawal within hours of taking my lowered dose. Why am I in REAL withdrawal even though I have taken a dose of my subutex? These are NOT phantom withdrawals. I am very educated on phantom withdrawals & im definitely feeling REAL symptoms. Why am I in almost full tilt withdrawal already?

I am sorry if I seem rude for asking, but why is your boyfriend making such decisions? Is he a doctor?

Anytime you lower the dosage of an opiate, such as this, it is normal to experience withdrawal symptoms, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, fever, chills, rebound pain, and diarrhea.

How long have you been taking it and how much have you lowered your dosage?
