Recent studies have shown that we might have misinterpreted cholesterol, and how dangerous the levels are of the various types. These same studied have also shown that changing them naturally, such as you did is more beneficial than taking chemical medications, according to NIH studies. Of course, I acknowledge that this information may change, at any time, and I am not a doctor, so I can only share the results of my research, I am not trying to tell anyone they should, or should not take a medication their doctor recommends.
As to this issue, I am very glad that you are doing so well.
Are you on any other medications? Some people do experience artificial elevations from some of them, which not all physicians take into consideration.
