Hi Deborah,
I'm having a tough time locating a match on this one, but did find some clues as to where they were most likely purchased from.
Apparently a red oval shaped tablet with "NV" engraved on one side and blank on the other, is sold at GNC and Wal-Mart.
That means it could potentially be some sort of OTC diet-related pill. However you may want to take it to one of those places (probably GNC first) and try to ask one of their employees if they can help you identify it based on what they have in stock. I know some products even show an image of the pill on their packaging to represent its actual size "(____)"... If you're able to keep an eye out for it while you're there, that's probably the best advice I can give you.. Hoping this can at least help point you in the right direction.
