Rapid Heartbeat
UpdatedI have been on Dailresp for just over 2 weeks, and my breathing is much better. In the last few days I have noticed feeling like I have the flu, sore joints, no appetite and a rapid heartbeat. I love this medication. Is it possible the side effects mentioned will go away in time? If so, about how long does it usually take?

Hello, Deb! How are you? Has there been any change?
Those can be normal side effects of this medication, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience headache, diarrhea and nausea.
Side effects are usually transient and go away with time, as your body gets used to the medication. However, it really depends on how high your heart rate is going, you may want to have that checked out, to be sure.
Hi. I had to come off the medicine. My heart rate was so high I needed to be hospitalized. I was very disappointed.
