Ramipril And Amlodipine Together Do They Work

Im on ramipril 10mg as bp remains at 100 so now on amlodipine 5mg in conjunction . I am fine re cholesterol and blood sug. No apparent reason apart from stress. Any ideas would be great. Plus has this combination wrkd for anyone. Only thing they have found is low calcium in my body.

Sometimes, there just is no explanation for why someone develops high blood pressure.

I haven't been on that exact combination, but I've had to take other medications in those same classes. It's generally beneficial to combine them in the case of resistant hypertension, since they tend to increase the effects of each other.

There are also other things you can do to help, like eating a low fat, low sodium diet and getting lots of proper exercise.
