Rablet 20mg - How Safe Fr Old Patients

My father in law 75yrs old, suffered severe acidity bout last year and dr. prescribed him rablet 20mg. Now whenever he experiences acidity he wants to take rablet 20. How safe is thi ?

This medication can cause more severe side effects in elderly patients, according to the AMA, so he may experience more nausea, dizziness, and stomach pain than usual.

Additionally, long-term use can increase his risk of hip fractures.

However, given that he isn't taking it all the time, he should take it, as long as his doctor approves and is monitoring him regularly.

Is he on any other medications?
