Purbac contains the active ingredients Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim, it is an antibiotic used to treat many types of infections.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea.

And no, since Mirena is an IUD, the hormones it releases are never in your digestive tract, as would happen with birth control tablets, so the antibiotic will not have an effect on it.
