No, this is an antibiotic that is only effective at treating bacterial infections, it will not do anything to treat a virus.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

If you have a virus, you should see your doctor for appropriate treatment, if any is needed.
