Prometrium is a form of the hormone progesterone, which is essential to a woman's overall health, and her menstrual cycle.

Generally, heavy bleeding, migraines, cramping and other problematic period symptoms are caused by your estrogen being too high, in comparison to your progesterone, so upping your progesterone level may help alleviate them.

However, when you first start taking it, it can cause some side effects, such as nausea, cramping, spotting, and bloating.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?
