my dr wants to put me on prestique to help with stress and to help my sex drive

Pristiq contains the active ingredient Desvenlafaxine, it is an SNRI antidepressant.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, weight gain and dry mouth.

I have tried lexapro, prozac, and celexa without much help. I need an anti-depressant that does not negatively affect my sex drive. I feel like i have no sex drive due to meds. I need a an anti-depressant that improves my sex drive. Im 24 I should be thriving. Help.

my doctor wanted to put me on pristique for depression. he gave me some samples to try out and wrote me a rx but i can't afford it as it is $80 a month. is there a generic equivalent or will it be generic in the near future

I was on 100 mg of prestiq and went off it while in the hospital for an angioplasti. Have been off now for two weeks and worried about the affects. I was told on could expect blood pressure issues with this drug and don't want to jeportise my recovery as I am on a lot of other drugs for the next little while.

I had the same problem. Prestiqu was the best for me. Not perfect but much better tag pm the others!

I've only taken this medication pristiq one time and so far I feel great! Literally zero to a hundred in less than twenty four hours. I've suffered from a disease called addiction. This medication makes me not even want to use! I hope it keeps up. Thanks.

Did not help sex drive at all!!! Helped depression, but then Hubby's not so happy.
