Most babies do very well when 16 mg/ day has been used. That is providing you aren't on benzodiazepines or any other drug to complicate the withdrawal. Most go home after 3-5 days. Very little / negligible amount of either bupe or naloxone passes into breast milk so it is safe to breastfeed.. Also I have seen mothers and babies that were on Suboxone throughout their pregnancy do as well as if not better than moms on subutex!! Congrats & Best Wishes!!
Hello, Jess! How are you? Congratulations on the baby! :-)
While you're pregnant, you basically need to operate on the premise that everything you take in is now going to affect two, rather than just you. Due to the fact that at this time you are actually carrying the baby inside your body, they are more directly affected by everything you do.
However, it is different when breastfeeding, because not everything passes into your breast milk to affect them and even some substances that do don't do so in any measurable or dangerous quantity.
Are there any other questions or concerns?
For real try & taper down to nearly nothing as quick as u can. Your baby will be sick when it leaves the system & u know what that means. I was strung out when my son was born ok but I'm male Just so u know where I'm coming from....true easier said than done but if ever in your life you were gonna stop/ slow down this is the time.... afterwards b good if u could continue that type of lifestyle and stop. Also being in the hospital for 4 days will help you come off. Drs rate the withdrawal for infants on a scale of 1-5 or 1-10. A friend of mine was on a quarter a day when her daughter was born & her baby was a 4 out of 5 I think. Fussy, no sleep, not eating much, withdrawing so plz stop prob not what you wanted to hear I know
