Pregnant Need Dr In Sc To Prescribe My Methadone

I was currently on methadone program for 6 years off n on but 3 this past time and had quit then started using drugs again now found out I am pregnant and trying to do right and find a Dr close and asap to get back on methadone BC I cannot afford clinic I have medicaid n need help

I'm sorry, but a clinic is your only option for addiction treatment. It would be illegal for a private practice doctor to prescribe it for you, that can only be done by those specially trained in its use for such.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Your other option would be to consider Subutex, because that can be prescribed by private physicians that have the waiver to treat with it.

Do you have an OB Gyn, yet? If so, they should be able to help you find someone that will treat you while pregnant.

Can anyone suggest a place in that area?
