The U.S. FDA has placed this medication in category C, which means they cannot rule out the possibility of their being risk to the baby, thus it would be best to avoid it, unless your doctor feels it is safe for you to take.

The typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth.
