There are oral contraceptive pills that you can take daily and then stop, when you wish to be able to become pregnant. However, not everyone can safely take them, so you'll need a health exam and some tests, before they can be prescribed.

You also have to remember to take them daily, as missing any can result in pregnancy.

There are also intrauterine devices that can be implanted by a doctor to prevent pregnancy. They are usually effective for several years and can be removed, when you are ready to get pregnant. Again, this is something you'd need to see a doctor to have done.

I'm not a doctor, so I can't say which would be best for you to use.

Do you have a doctor that you see regularly?
