has anybody had the rods removed and become pregnant almost instantly, if so did your baby survive? i was 12 weeks one day yesterday (already have a 3 year old son.) when i bled had a scan and the baby was the size of a 9 week old fetus, still not sure if it died 3 weeks ago, or just stopped growing, i am a healthy person and after reading this article: acultureoflife.wordpress.com/2013/03/05/questioning-the-benefits-of-jadelle i just wondered if there was any research or experiences into pregnancy and miscarriage after having it removed?
I had a jadelle since october 2014 n i had it removed in February2016 ever since i removed it i didnt see my period but before i removed it i used to see my period. Its 3months now but im not pregnant. Please help
Yes...removed jadelle in August 2010 and in October was pregnant.gave birth to a healthy baby boy who is now 5. Recently removed it so l can have another baby....removed it in March just this past month

I removed Jadeleand have been trying to get pregnant but now l have started my period. How long should l wait until I fall pregnant- worried
Well Jleer I am pregnant again so will let you know how this one goes.
Yes we will be trying again I think. As I am now too scared to go on anything lol. {edited for privacy}. I would also like to know the same thing :) sorry to hear you went through the same thing x
I have recently miscarried after falling pregnant instantly after I hadn't jadelle removed. I had mine for 3 years and 3 months (I have a 3 year old son) I had it removed May and conceived in June. Discovered the pregnancy at 4 weeks and it never progressed I bled at what I believed was 7 weeks, 5 days and the scan revealed my uterus was empty with a fallen unformed sac. In my mind I believe it's because the effects of the jadelle are still in my system and the hormone changes the uterine lining not making an ideal place for pregnancy to take place. At the sack they discovered a cyst in my right ovary never had these before and Dr not concerned about this as small and usually come away by themselves. Im disappointed that there seems to be no knowledge or research on miscarriages after having jadelle removed. I'm also frightened of falling pregnant again if the same thing should happen again. I'd be interested to hear how you are and how you get on in future.
Thank you for that, yes i was wondering that and it wasn't planned i would get pregnant i am 21 with poly cystic ovaries and did not think it would happen instantly, lol. i got forced by a social worker to have it, (was just a social worker who worked with teen parents.) i never liked it, always hated the side effects from the rod so only got it removed because i never wanted them. i found out literally at 4 weeks so was on folic acid, calcium, multivitamins etc etc straight away. what you just said made alot of sense though, i am more annoyed that i had done blood tests at 9 weeks 5 days, i since found out that was the day i miscarried (it was a missed miscarriage.) yet when i rung my mid wife at 12 weeks she told me my test was fine but at the hospital there was no record of these bloods, i have had no explanation since and nobody has answered my questions you are the closest i have had so thank you alot for your reply :) we are ok now, started on AVA today it's the pill, just never heard of this one lol. so see how i go in a few months then try again when i am ready :)
Actually, when you've used a hormonal contraceptive, such as Jadelle, it's generally not recommended that you try to get pregnant, immediately. It can take about 3 months for your body to rebalance your hormones on its own and the proper amount of progesterone is vital to having a healthy pregnancy and carrying the baby to full term. Thus, it simply may be the your body wasn't producing enough progesterone on its own, yet.
I am very sorry about your loss, though. It is so very sad.
I'd suggest that you work with your doctor now, to get yourself back into a healthy balance, before getting pregnant, again.
How are you doing?
